You want to buy a Tecno mobile? What about Tecno P5? We have here a detailed specifications review and price of this oga of Tecno P3 Android phone.

If you are new to Mymobnet! E-Tech Magazine and blog please follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date with our reviews.

We shall proceed to review and discuss some of the features of the Tecno P5 Android phone.

Hardware and Design:

Tecno P5 phone

Tecno P5 phone

The Tecno P5 is solidly built. It has a great look though not an entirely new design because the design is simply a 4inch screen version of the similar design of majority of the Tecno Android devices, so I guess you now know what the Tecno P5 exactly looks like.

Tecno P5 has a bit less rounded corner than Tecno D5, n7 and n3 but it doesn’t have sharp edges. It still smoothly fits into your pocket 🙂

Lastly, this Tecno P5 as usual is all plastic back which helps to bring the price down and has no Home Button key but Touch all through except at the sides. In short it has the typical design of Android phones of its class.

Operating System:

Tecno P5 is preloaded with a Jellybean 4.2 Operating system. This is great though it shouldn’t make any other more exciting news for any new device. The 4.2 is about an up to date Operating System and certainly what Tecno customers will love because they have never loaded any device with a more up to date OS than this 4.2 which can also be found in most High end devices.

But the only problem with this which we shall not fail to mention to our valued readers is that so far Tecno Mobile will not provide any Over the Air OS upgrade for this device which means the final consumer stops at the factory loaded OS. This is not particularly good considering the fact that the Jellybean 4.3 OS is getting old and the 4.4 Kitkat OS is out already.

But don’t forget that the 4.2 is a great Operating System!

Display is a very important thing in any phone. The screen size of Tecno P5 is 4 inches which is a portable display of your pictures and videos.

The resolution of this device is 480*800. It’s not bad for a 4 inch screen device. Its not High Definition rather. In fact do not expect the sharp colour contrast and better display you get in many Gionee Android phones and Tecno Phantom A+

If you aren’t so careful about all these display wahala, the display of Tecno P5 is nice for you.

Back is 5MP and front is 2MP. It supports Skype and video call and the picture quality for video calling is excellent. The main camera is just like that of Tecno n7. It can take pictures of up to 2560 x 1929 pixels.

The internet is excellent. A 3G connection with a WI-FI and Bluetooth is what we see in it. You can connect your other gadgets and PCs with your favourite WI-FI hotspot. No 4G but there is 3.75G.

Tecno P5 is dual SIM. 3G is network can only be switched from one network to the other.

Like Tecno M7 and S3, the ROM of Tecno P5 is 4GB and RAM is only 512MB and the expandable memory is up to 32GB.

The rating of the Battery of this device is 1800mAh. It should have a Talk time of 8.5 hours and Tecno says its standby time is 288 hours. This is not bad for a device as this.

Now the price of the Phantom Tecno P5 is certainly important, isn’t it? So the price from my market survey is N15,000 although many marketers will insist on something higher than this. With this price one shall thank Tecno for any nice spec in this device and accept any other shortcomings of this phone.

So we shall now provide the official detailed Specifications of the Tecno P5:

If you are sure the camera isnt working, then you have to submit the phone back to where you boutght it for repairs or refund. Its your right to claim Tecno’s 1 year warranty.
